I’m Chris Diego, a Music Producer & DJ from the Midlands.
Lets start by saying welcome to my blog.
The home of my complex thoughts and ideas, along with ofcourse… my venture into the music industry.
Through documentation using videos, photos, mp3’s. I am trying an experiment to see if I can create some oppurtunities and/or some hype for my own career, whilst doing this I’m going to see if we can create some excitement for my fellow artists to work off by keeping a blog of all our travels, jam sessions, gigs and other ‘NEED TO KNOW’ info.
So maybe you could say this is my eMag for an untapped potential of music fanatics from the Midlands.
Run by the artists, for the artists?
Well maybe… hahaha
So just back in September I enrolled myself on a college course, studying music.
After a few months of play on Fruityloops & Reason I realised not only do I want to be able to mix music, I want to produce my own material. Struggling with the software and my knowledge of music, like song structure, etc I quickly realised that this isn’t going to be an easy thing.
Dedication and commitment to the cause are definitely needed if you are to make any progress at all. I figuered theres only one way I can do this at a fast pace, getting access to all the best equiptment I could whilst receiving good feedback from Professional Musicians, whom have done and are still doing what I wish to achieve for my own career.
That one way was college.
Now a month into the course and I can say I’ve met some awesome people, Producers, MCs, DJs & Bands. Let me tell you, these kids have got TALENT! I am convinced the majority of them will land the career they want.
So what am I trying to achieve again?
To basically promote myself and some fellow Producers, MCs, DJs & Bands by recording footage from booth sessions, gigs, mp3s, etc. Maybe iI’ll even throw in a bit of legwork lol.
So uploading it to the blog and BOOM, instant plublicity for up and coming artists, well atleast thats the hope. Various contacts, agreements and long winded phonecalls will have to be made in order to really make something of this, but I’m sure if the material is good enough we can get it out. Who says theres no room for the little guy anymore?
My own cause?

2. To share good music wih you guys
3. Can the small guy have an impact on the music industry ?
4. Promotion
If I can pull something out of this for myself then all the more reason to do it.
